10G Ethernet

Challenges with testing 10G Ethernet lay not only in the complexity of the test setup but also the requirement for intuitive troubleshooting tools to solve the high speed induced signal integrity issues such as crosstalk, equalization and deterministic jitter break down. Teledyne LeCroy’s total solution for 10G Ethernet covers multiple standards associated with 10G interface with the flexibility to easily upgrade to higher lane density testing and higher bitrate testing for 100G architectures. Combined with QPHY automated test environments, the user can minimize redundant test setups and result collection efforts, and stay more focused on compliance, characterization, and debug testing.

ARINC 429

The ARINC 429 Decode (D) and Decode, Measure/Graph and Eye Diagram (DME) solutions both provide Symbolic decode and transparent color-coded overlays, protocol tables, and search capabilities. The DME option also provides Measure/Graph (M) capability with automated measurement and graphing tools and Eye Diagram (E) capability for physical layer signal assessment and debug.

AudioBus

Teledyne LeCroy’s Serial AudioBus trigger, decode, and graph package provides all the tools needed to properly analyze and debug digital audio buses. Teledyne LeCroy’s solution addresses the I2S, LJ, RJ, and TDM variations of the audio bus standard.

CAN

The TDME option also provides Measure/Graph (M) capability with automated measurement and graphing tools and Eye Diagram (E) capability for physical layer signal assessment and debug. Symbolic Trigger, Decode and Measure/Graph capabilities are also available (TDME Symbolic).

CAN FD

The CAN FD Trigger Decode (TD) and Trigger, Decode, Measure/Graph and Eye Diagram (TDME) solutions both provide high performance triggers and transparent color-coded decode overlays, protocol tables, and search capabilities. The TDME option also provides Measure/Graph (M) capability with automated measurement and graphing tools and Eye Diagram (E) capability for physical layer signal assessment and debug. Symbolic Trigger, Decode and Measure/Graph capabilities are also available (TDME Symbolic). The CAN FD options also include all capabilities included in the CAN options.

DDR2

The Teledyne LeCroy QPHY-DDR2 Test Solution is the best way to characterize DDR2 memory interfaces. Capable of performing measurements on 400 MHz, 533 MHz, 667 MHz, 800 MHz, 1066 MHz and custom speed grades, QPHY-DDR2 has a full suite of Clock, Electrical and Timing tests as specified by the JEDEC Specification and Intel JEDEC Specifications Addendums.

DDR3

The Teledyne LeCroy QPHY-DDR3 Test Solution is the best way to characterize DDR3 memory interfaces. Capable of performing measurements on 800 MT/s, 1066 MT/s, 1333 MT/s, 1600 MT/s, 1866 MT/s, 2133 MT/s and custom speed grades, QPHY-DDR3 has a full suite of Clock, Electrical, and Timing tests as specified by the JEDEC Specification.

DDR4

DDR4 is an evolutionary upgrade from DDR3. It introduces data transfer rates which are nearly double the DDR3 transfer rates, ranging from 1.6 GT/s up to 3.2 GT/s. DDR4’s higher transfer rates and lower operating voltage have driven new test methodologies and test requirements which were not previously required for DDR3 in order to ensure proper signal fidelity.

DisplayPort

The QPHY-DisplayPort software for the WaveMaster/SDA/DDA 8 Zi Series of oscilloscopes provides an automated test environment for running all of the normative real-time oscilloscope tests for sources in accordance with Version 1.1 of the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) DisplayPort PHY Compliance Test Standard.

Ethernet

Ethernet testing compliant with IEEE 802.3-2005 requires many test setups and connections and mask tests. Using Teledyne LeCroy QualiPHY-ENET these measurements are easy to setup and complete. Instructive connection diagrams and message boxes appear as pop ups on the oscilloscope screen. The connection diagram instructs the user how to change test fixture and jumper pins in order to do complete test. When the tests are complete, QualiPHY will generate a test report in PDF, HTML, or XML formats. Jitter and pulse mask tests are performed with automatic waveform alignment, and all test results feature pass/fail indicators corresponding to the standard being tested.

Fibre Channel

Fibre Channel, or FC, is a gigabit-speed network technology primarily used for storage networking. Fibre Channel is standardized in the T11 Technical Committee of the InterNational Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS). Fibre Channel was primarily used in the supercomputer field, but now, has become the standard connection type for storage area networks (SAN) in enterprise storage.

FlexRay

The FlexRay Trigger Decode (TD) and Trigger, Decode, Measure/Graph and Physical Layer (TDMP) solutions both provide high performance triggers and transparent color-coded decode overlays, protocol tables, and search capabilities. HDMI

The SDA family of Serial Data Analyzers provides a concise set of validation/verification and debug tools written in accordance with High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) electrical test specifications. Covered HDMI test modes include Source and Cable Tests covering amplitude-timing, and jitter parameters as well as cable impedance tests. In addition to standard eye pattern and jitter tests for HDMI, the SDA real-time test equipment platform provides a complete set of amplitude and jitter measurements, as defined in the HDMI specification. This combination of measurements makes SDA-HDMI a cost-effective, compelling HDMI solution. Additionally, the SDA-HDMI software package takes advantage of all the user-acclaimed test and measurement tools available in Teledyne LeCroy’s instruments

LPDDR2

The Teledyne LeCroy QPHY-LPDDR2 Test Solution is the best way to characterize LPDDR2 memory interfaces. Capable of performing measurements on 466 MHz, 533 MHz, 667 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 Mhz, 1066 MHz and custom speed grades, QPHY-LPDDR2 has a full suite of Clock, Electrical and Timing tests as specified by the JEDEC Specifications.

LPDDR3

LPDDR3 is designed for the latest generation of mobile and embedded applications. LPDDR3 is an evolutionary upgrade from LPDDR2; introducing a lower operating voltage and data transfer rates which are nearly double the LPDDR2 transfer rates, ranging from 1333 MT/s up to 2133 MT/s.

Manchester

Manchester coding is a line code in which the encoding of each data bit has at least one transition and 1s and 0s have equal bit width and therefore has no DC component. Manchester signals are self-clocking, which means that a clock signal can be recovered from the encoded data. Manchester Configurable protocol decoder enables grouping bits using various combinations of bit rate, polarity, idle condition, time out and more to decipherable messages. It allows decode of various protocols developed using Manchester encoding scheme.

MIL-STD-1553

The MIL-STD-1553 Trigger Decode (TD) and Trigger, Decode, Measure/Graph and Eye Diagram (TDME) solutions both provide high performance triggers and transparent color-coded decode overlays, protocol tables, and search capabilities. The TDME option also provides Measure/Graph (M) capability with automated measurement and graphing tools and Eye Diagram (E) capability for physical layer signal assessment and debug.

MIPI

M-PHY provides a serial interface technology with high bandwidth capabilities, which is particularly developed for mobile applications to obtain low pin count combined with very good power efficiency. It is targeted to be suitable for multiple protocols, including UniProSM and DigRFSM v4, and for a wide range of applications.

MOST

The MOST (Media Oriented Systems Transport) QualiPHY test solutions provide a complete acquisition and analysis solution for MOST devices as specified. Teledyne LeCroy’s QualiPHY automated test and reporting software implements a full set of electrical tests for MOST50 ePHY, MOST150 oPHY, and MOST150 cPHY.

NRZ

NRZ (non-return-to-zero) line code is a binary code in which 1s are represented by one significant condition (usually a positive voltage) and 0s are represented by some other significant condition (usually a negative voltage), with no other neutral or rest condition. NRZ Configurable protocol decoder enables grouping bits using various combinations of bit rate, polarity, idle condition, time out and more to decipherable messages. It allows decode of various protocols developed using NRZ encoding scheme.

PCI Express

PCI Express (PCIe) has become the leading interconnect technology to succeed the Peripheral Connect Interface (PCI) architecture. Teledyne LeCroy released the first PCIe protocol analyzer in February of 2003. Teledyne LeCroy also offers oscilloscope solution on their SDA 13000 analyzer designed to perform compliance testing at the phyical layer.

QualiPHY

QualiPHY is designed to reduce the time and effort needed to perform compliance testing on a wide array of high-speed serial buses. QualiPHY is the most intuitive and efficient tool available for performing serial data compliance testing. Selecting a new standard or test setup is done without leaving the main screen, and the user can start testing with a single button press.

SENT

The Single Edge Nibble Transmission encoding scheme, SENT, SAE J2716, is intended for use in applications where high resolution sensor data needs to be communicated from a sensor to an Engine Control Unit (ECU).

SpaceWire Decode

The SpaceWire decode adds a unique set of tools to your Teledyne LeCroy oscilloscope that simplifies the design, debug, and maintenance of SpaceWire systems. The high speed SpaceWire data stream is annotated directly on the physical layer waveforms. Various sections of the protocol are color-coded to make it easy to understand the protocol traffic. The decoder provides an interactive table, search, and zoom to make debugging fast and effective.

Ultrawideband (UWB) has emerged as the leading technology to address consumer wireless personal area networking (WPAN) applications. Teledyne LeCroy released the first UWB protocol analyzer for WiMedia-based Wireless PANs in April of 2005. Teledyne LeCroy also offers oscilliscope solutions designed to perform EVM analysis at the WiMedia phyical layer.

USB 2.0

USB, or Universal Serial Bus, is a connectivity standard that enables computer peripherals to be connected to a computer without reconfiguring the system or opening the computer box to install interface cards. USB was introduced in 1995 and replaces the serial, parallel, mouse and keyboard ports.
